Fiona Groenhout
Short Biography
Fiona Groenhout is a doctoral candidate in History at the University of Western Australia in Perth, Australia. The title of her thesis is ‘Misrule, Maladministration and Other “Evils”: The Influence of Ideas of Princely Character and Native Government upon British Interventions in the States of Central India.’ She has also authored ‘Loyal Feudatories or Depraved Despots? The Deposition of Princes in the Central India Agency, c.1880–1947’, in Waltraud Ernst and Biswamoy Pati (eds.), India’s Princely States: People, Princes and Colonialism (Routledge, forthcoming).
