Christopher Thurman

Short Biography

Christopher Thurman has a B.A. (English Honours) from Rhodes University in Grahamstown, South Africa, and an M.A. in Shakespeare Studies from Royal Holloway, University of London. He is about to complete a Ph.D. at the University of Cape Town, where he taught part-time in the Department of English Language and Literature from 2004 to 2006. Apart from Shakespeare, his research and teaching interests include South African, (post)colonial and nineteenth-century British literature. He is currently working as a freelance journalist – predominantly theatre reviews and travel writing.
