Kate Rumbold

Short Biography

Kate Rumbold is completing a doctoral thesis entitled ‘“All the Men and Women Merely Players”: Quoting Shakespeare in the Mid-Eighteenth-Century Novel’ at Trinity College, University of Oxford. Her thesis focuses on the role of Shakespeare in the novels of Samuel Richardson, Henry Fielding, Sarah Fielding and Laurence Sterne. A former undergraduate at Trinity, she took her MA at University College London before returning to Oxford. Kate will shortly take up the role of Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at the Shakespeare Institute, Stratford-upon-Avon.
