Paul Macdonald
Short Biography
Paul Macdonald conducts research in the area of philosophical theology. One of the main goals of his research is to reinterpret and reappropriate classical philosophical and theological insights in order to address perennial philosophical and theological concerns. His current research focuses on reinterpreting and reappropriating insights in the philosophical theology of Thomas Aquinas in order to help explain God's relationship to the mind, or human knowledge of the transcendent. He has authored essays in Religious Studies and Modern Theology. Currently, he serves as Assistant Professor in the Department of Religion at Bucknell University; previously, he held fellowships at Villanova University and the Center for the Study of Religion at Princeton University. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Virginia, an M.A. from Yale University, and a B.A. from Wheaton College, IL.
