Sarah E. H. Moore
Short Biography
Sarah Moore is a Research Assistant at the University of Kent and is currently working with Dr Adam Burgess on a project that seeks to understand belief about date rape among University students. Her main research interests are the sociology of health and illness, culture, gender, risk and the sociology of compassion. Her recent book Ribbon Culture: Charity, Compassion and Public Awareness (Palgrave Macmillan, forthcoming) explores the sociological implications of ‘awareness’ ribbons, such as those worn for AIDS and breast cancer.
