Dr Daniele Conversi
Short Biography
Daniele Conversi received his PhD at the London School of Economics. He taught in the Government Departments at Cornell and Syracuse Universities, as well as at the Central European University, Budapest and is now Senior Lecturer at the University of Lincoln.
His current research explores the role of culture in the process of state-building from 1789 to the present day. More specifically, he has addressed the relationship between nationalism and culture, with particular attention to the concept of cultural homogenization. Related areas include the relationship between nationalism and democracy, globalization, genocide, militarism and war.
